BBC Strictly Stars To Perform In Belfast

The stars of last year's BBC Strictly Come Dancing are set to perform in Belfast later this week.

Tickets are still available for Thursday night's show at the SSE Arena.

Reigning champion and 'Emmerdale' star Kelvin Fletcher will be among those dancing in the show and tweeted his excitement for the gig.

"I can't wait! I LOVE Belfast," the soap star shared.

Tickets are priced at £49 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster.

Significant Road Investment Announced In Fermanagh

A £220,000 road scheme has been announced in the Belleek area of Co Fermanagh.

Resurfacing work will begin on the A46 Loughshore Road on Monday 27 January and run until Friday 07 February.

It will take place over a 1,500-metre distance from the junction of the A46 Loughshore Road and the Ardees Road towards Enniskillen.

The A46 Loughshore Road will close to traffic from 9am to 5pm throughout the duration of the works. A two-way diversion will be signposted via Brollagh Rd, Lattone Road, A4 Sligo Rd to Enniskillen.

Local access for residents and businesses will be facilitated as far as possible, although road users may experience some delays.

NI Construction Site Inspections Commence

HSENI has begun its two-week long programme of inspections across construction sites in Northern Ireland.

The public body is focusing on all non-compliant plant, unsafe practices and inadequate segregation of pedestrians and vehicles during the inspections. This is being delivered in an effort to reduce deaths and injuries within Northern Ireland's construction industry.

HSENI inspectors will focus their attention on the following key areas:

• Adequate pedestrian and vehicle segregation

• Plant inspections, Maintenance schedules and Thorough Examinations

• Site specific Risk Assessments for operating plant

• Training for operating different types of plant

• Footbrakes

• Handbrakes

• Lap Belts

• Falling Object Protection Structures

• Tyres

• All round visibility

• Lifting Accessories

• Rollover Protection Structures.
