Shock As Body Found In Co Down
A man has been released on bail after he was questioned over the death of a man in Co Down.
It's understood a body was discovered in a garden in the Rathgill area of Bangor on Tuesday 28 January.
Police arrested a 48 year-old man in connection with the death. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Alliance Councillor Karen Douglas said locals have been left in shock.
"The discovery of a man's body in a garden in Rathgill has been a great shock to the local community," Cllr Douglas said. "Investigations into the cause of his tragic death are ongoing and I would ask anyone with information to pass it to the police on the 101 number or anonymously to the Crimestoppers Charity on 0800 555 111.
"I would offer my deepest sympathies to his family and friends at this time."

Shock As Teen Dies In Co Down Street
A Co Down community is in shock after the death of a teenager on Saturday night, 01 February. Emergency services rushed to Market Street in Bangor following reports of an unresponsive 17 year-old boy shortly after 11pm. The street was cordoned off by police and an investigation has since been launched.

A woman has been arrested following the sudden death of a man in Magherafelt. A 46-year-old man died in L'Derry in the early hours of Tuesday, 05 December. Police are treating the death as suspicious. A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

A 40 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a sudden death in Craigavon. The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have commenced a murder probe into the death of a 25 year-old in the Lake Road area on Thursday night, 16 January. A post mortem examination is to be carried out in due course.

Two men remain in police custody following a fatal stabbing in L'Derry in the early hours of Sunday, 04 March. Karol Kelly, 35, was stabbed to death during a fight involving a group of men in Grafton Street, Rosemount, at about 2.40 am. Two men, aged 19 and 20, remain in custody. A 27-year-old man has been released on police bail.
