Bug Safari Trail Launched At Stormont Estate

A bug safari trail has been launched for the enjoyment of children and their families at Stormont Estate.

Mapped out along the newly refurbished boardwalk, the trail features larger-than-life versions of common insects for youngsters to find and explore.

It showcases the diversity of local wildlife and is hoped to be a fun and educational activity for families to enjoy.

Speaking at the launch of the trail, Sue Gray, Permanent Secretary at the Department of Finance, said: "The Bug Safari is a fantastic addition to the educational trails already available. These giant, brightly coloured insects showcase the diversity of wildlife on the estate and will no doubt prove popular with curious children of all ages."

The new trail follows the opening of Stormont's fully inclusive Mo Mowlam Play Park.

Visitors can pick up activity maps at the main entrance to the park to help them explore the range of trails across the estate.
