Belfast Shop Burgled In Broad Daylight
A sum of money has been stolen from a shop on a busy Belfast City Centre road.
Police have arrested a man following the incident on the Dublin Road shortly before 1.45pm on Monday 24 February.
A female employee was left badly shaken after two men entered the premises, with one approaching the till and taking a sum of money.
One suspect wore a grey tracksuit pulled up over his face while another, who is described as of medium build, wore a dark coloured puff jacket, green tracksuit bottoms with a stripe down the side and a grey hat with a black bobble.
The member of staff was uninjured by the ordeal.
Police have since arrested one of the men on suspicion of burglary. He remains in custody assisting with enquiries.
Sergeant Matt Boucher said: "Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1028 of 24/02/20."

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.
