IFA Launches Easter Football Camps

The Irish FA Foundation is to hold 24 football camps for budding young sports stars over the school Easter holidays.

In partnership with Nutty Krust, the three day sessions enable children aged between five to 13 to develop and improve their football skills in a structured environment with professionally trained staff.

Important aspects of the game such as passing, dribbling, 1v1s, attacking, defending, shooting and small-sided games are included in three jam-packed days of fun.

Some 8,500 children took part in the clubs during the various school holidays last year, with more than 2,200 enjoying the Easter camps.

Girls only sessions are available in L'Derry, Cookstown, Bangor Aurora and Midgley Park in Belfast.

Prices start at £21 per child and discounts are available for families with more than one person attending.

Jonny Michael, from the Irish FA Foundation, said: "I would like to thank Irwin's Bakery for their ongoing support for our camps. Our team of Let Them Play officers, coaches and volunteers are looking forward to delivering an action-packed and fun-packed Easter programme."

Full details about the upcoming Easter camps and how best to prepare are available online.
