IFA Suspends Local Football Fixtures
The Irish Football Association has suspended the current season in response to the evolving coronavirus situation.
This includes all Irish League fixtures and domestic football in Northern Ireland. The matches will be rescheduled at a later date, but not before 04 April at the earliest.
The governing body said in a statement: "The decision has been made with public health but, equally, the health and safety of players, match officials, staff and volunteers front of mind.
"We expect games to restart on Saturday 4 April 2020. The matter will be kept under constant review.
"This means no affiliated football will be played in Northern Ireland until that time."
Leagues across the United Kingdom and Ireland have also suspended their seasons temporarily.
