Family escape serious injury in petrol bomb attack

Police are appealing for information following a petrol bomb attack in Co Tyrone last night that hospitalised a pregnant woman.

The incident which occurred at a house at Avery Park, Newtownstewart on Sunday evening, led to a pregnant woman, a man and two young children being treated for smoke inhalation.

The device was thrown through the front living room window of the family home at around 11pm.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

TWO elderly Protestant sisters have escaped injury after a petrol bomb attack on their East Belfast home. The women, aged 73 and 79, escaped injury after a passing police patrol discovered a fire at their home and forced their way into the house in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Appeal For Information On Petrol Bomb Attack In Coleraine
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack at a property in the Loughanhill Park area of Coleraine. Shortly after 1.20am on Monday 22nd August, emergency services were called to reports of a fire after a suspected petrol bomb had been thrown at the front of a property.

Sinn Féin Condemns Petrol Bomb Attack
Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile has condemned a further petrol bomb attack in the Short Strand area. Police are investigating the incident, which saw four petrol bombs thrown at an east Belfast interface around 10.30pm on Monday night.
