NI Screen To Host Online Workshops
Northern Ireland Screen is to run several online workshops for new and emerging talent.
As education becomes a logistical nightmare during the current public health crisis, the agency is offering aspiring professionals in the film and TV industry a chance to learn at home.
The seminars, limited to 15 per person, will cover script development, direction and post-production.
Sessions will take place as follows:
• Direction, 08 April, 3pm – 5pm
• Script structure, 20 April, 7pm – 9pm
• Post-production, 22 April, 7pm – 9pm
Details for the online seminars will be provided when places are confirmed.

NI Businesses Lose Over £2m Following Online Crime
Firms in Northern Ireland lost over £2 million following online crime last year, according to new figures. Figures from Get Safe Online and Action Fraud show 247 cases were reported with total losses amounting to £2,152,343 between March 2015 and March 2016. However, police believe the overall losses could be higher.

Get Online Week 2018 Announced
A range of events providing free digital training sessions have been announced for Get Online Week 2018, by Permanent Secretary at the Department of Finance, Sue Gray, during a visit to a digital training session at Ballyhackamore Library. Get Online Week will take place from 15–21 October 2018 with a range of events across Northern Ireland.

Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Belfast City Centre on Sunday, 29 September. According to police, a woman was walking in the May Street/East Bridge Street area around midnight when she was approached by a man armed with a large knife.
