Police Probe Link Between South Belfast Break-Ins
Police are investigating a link between two burglaries in south Belfast on Wednesday evening, 04 November.
It's believed two houses in the Sharman Close area were targeted.
Entry was gained to the first residence sometime between 9pm and 11pm through an unlocked front door. A handbag, purse, wallet and a number of other items were taken. Some were then discarded a short distance away.
Detectives investigating the burglary believe it may be linked to another in the area overnight.
The public are being warned to remain vigilant as the darker evenings draw in and to take extra care to keep homes and belongings safe.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Close and lock all doors and windows, consider security lights. To a burglar, a dark house is an empty house.
"If you have older relatives or neighbours help them to keep their property and belongings secure."
Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is urged to contact detectives 101 quoting reference 651 of 05/11/20.
