Covid Restriction Limbo Continues
Talks on the next move for NI's current Covid-19 restrictions have entered their fourth day.
Ministers had been expected to announce an end to or extension of the restrictions at the start of this week, but to date three separate proposals have been vetoed by the DUP.
The current restrictions were due to end at midnight tonight, Thursday, and businesses have been left in limbo, unsure if or when they would be able to reopen.
That confusion has continued as it has now been claimed that original deadline of Thursday midnight was a mistake and the restrictions don't actually end until midnight on Friday 13 November.
A fourth day of talks are said to be underway today to discuss a new proposal tabled by Alliance.

Minister Reacts To Teachers' Union Ballot Threat
Education Minister Paul Givan has responded to the announcement by several teachers' unions that they plan to ballot their members for industrial action over 2024/25 pay. Earlier this year, the Minister provided funding to successfully resolve the long-running industrial dispute over teachers' pay for 2021-24.
