Suspect package declared a hoax
A suspect device found in north Belfast on Friday has been declared a hoax.
The package was discovered at a telephone control box on Glenview Street.
Army bomb experts were immediately called in and the area between Old Park Road and Park View Court was immediately sealed off. It has since been reopened.
Elsewhere, a 24-year-old man is recovering in hospital following a paramilitary style attack in east Belfast on Thursday.
The incident occurred as the man was walking along Castlereagh Street at around 10.30pm.
He was grabbed by three men and shot in the leg.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Man's body found in Belfast
A man's body has been found in Belfast city centre on Wednesday. The body was found at Fulton Street, near the city centre shortly before 9am. It was immediately reported to police who have cordoned off the area. There are no further details at present.

A man found dead close to Belfast city centre on Wednesday has been named as Hugh Thompson of Lord Street in east Belfast. The 57-year-old man's body was discovered at Fulton Street shortly before 9am. Although the area was immediately cordoned off by police, the death is not being treated as suspicious.
