Man Arrested Over Incident At McDonald's In Belfast

A man has been arrested in connection with an incident at McDonald's in Belfast city centre.

The arrest was made following an altercation between the man and a security guard at McDonald's on Castle Place. It is understood the man had been asked to leave the restaurant and began arguing with the guard and the situation escalated into a fight.

In a video posted to social media, the man and the guard can be seen trading blows before the man gets the guard in a headlock. The guard then picks the man and slams him to the ground. In the video the man does not move after being thrown to the ground.

It is understood the man has been released on bail while he continues to be treated in hospital for a head injury.

Anyone with further information about the incident is asked to contact police.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
