Police Seize 'Substantial Amount' Of Illegal Alcohol In West Belfast
Police came under attack in west Belfast as they attempted to remove two van-loads of seized alcohol on Monday afternoon.
Police uncovered a "substantial amount of alcohol" at a commercial property on the Falls Road as they conducted a search under warrant. It is understood the operation began when community leaders raised concerns over the potential illegal sale of alcohol.
Two vans were found packed with cases of alcohol and the scene was secured. When officers returned to the scene yesterday to remove the alcohol, they are said to have come under attack.
Anyone with any information about the sale or distribution of illegal alcohol is asked to contact police.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man shot in west Belfast
A man has been wounded in a gun attack at a house in west Belfast. A police spokesperson said that a caller to the house in Hawthorn Street had produced a gun and shot the man in the side. An ambulance was called to the scene, however the man was not taken to hospital. His injuries have been described as minor.
