Tributes To Denis Lynn Following Quad Bike Accident
Tribute has been paid to the Founder and Chairman of Finnebrogue Artisan Denis Lynn who died following a quad bike accident.
His firm, based outside Downpatrick, employs around 1,000 people across four sites in County Down.
In a statement the company said: "Our thoughts are with Denis’s wife Christine, his children Kerry, Clare, Tara and Ciara and the entire family at this incredibly difficult time.
"Denis was an innovator and a visionary with an infectious passion for delivering positive change for the planet and its people. He leaves behind an extraordinary list of achievements.
"Denis also leaves behind Finnebrogue and a vision for its future. Finnebrogue was his creation. It now falls on all of us - the Finnebrogue family - to continue his outstanding work."
The company has set up an email account, RememberingDenis@finnebrogue.com for the public to send memories and condolences which will be compiled and published in due course.

Hard-Hitting Road Safety Message Delivered To Young People
Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.

Cannabis Seized In North Belfast
Herbal cannabis worth an estimated street value of £40,000 has been seized in north Belfast. Police made the discovery during a house search after cannabis destined for an address in the area was intercepted in England. A number of other items were also removed from the property.

Sinn Fein have appointed a member of a prominent Republican family to replace former IRA prisoner Mary McArdle as a special adviser at Stormont. According to the Beeb,her replacement, Jarlath Kearney, is a former journalist who has worked as a Sinn Fein policy advisor.
