Appeal Issued After Man Smashes Windows On Speed Van

Police are appealing for information after the windows of a Road Safety Partnership speed van were smashed by a man on Wednesday, 19 May.

The van was parked on the North Road in Carrickfergus an a ale attacked the vehicle with a baseball bat and caused damage to the windscreen, two side windows and a rear window.

The suspect is described as wearing a grey and black hooded top and was wearing a black mask.

Inspector Rosie Leech said: "Enquiries are continuing and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam footage or any other information to contact police on 101 quoting reference 880- 19/05/21."

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
