DUP Members Quit Over Concerns Direction The Party Is Taking

Many DUP members in the South Down constituency have quit the party over concerns about the direction it is taking under new leader Edwin Poots.

Glyn Hanna and Kathryn Owen have resigned, along with other members in the South Down association.

At the Association's AGM on Saturday evening Mr. Hanna was removed as Chairman.

It is understood Mr Hanna and Mrs Owen will remain as independent councillors on Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

Four Arrested Following Disorder In South Belfast
Four men have been arrested following public disorder incidents in the university area of south Belfast on Thursday, November 14th. Police responded to a number of offences, including resisting and obstructing police, and assault on police. Three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, have been charged and are due to appear in court in December.

Traffic Warning For South Belfast Ahead Of Northern Ireland Match
Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.

SDLP Calls For ETA System To Be Scrapped
The SDLP has called on the UK government to scrap the proposed Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system. South Belfast MP Claire Hanna made the call after the government confirmed residents in the South who are European Nationals will be exempt from the system.
