Child In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Van
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a boy was struck by a van in Newcastle, County Down.
According to reports, an eight-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital following the incident, which occurred on the Dundrum Road shortly after 7pm last night, Wednesday 21 July.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, in particular anyone who might have dash cam footage, is urged to contact police.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Limavady. A man, aged in his 60s, has died after the Vauxhall Vivaro van he was driving was involved in a collision with a fallen tree and another vehicle at around 9.45pm on Sunday 21 January, on Broad Road.
