Proof Of Vaccination To Enter Pubs And Clubs 'Blackmail'
A proposal to require proof of vaccination to enter hospitality venues has been described as "blackmail".
It is understood that Stormont in considering a system similar to one currently in place in the Republic of Ireland in the belief that it could help reach higher vaccination rates.
Hospitality Ulster has said that their industry is being "singled out" and that "you cannot blackmail people into doing stuff".
Speaking to the BBC's Good Morning Ulster programme, Colin Neill of Hospitality Ulster, said: "Removing someone's privilege is not an incentive, and why single out hospitality? Why not say you can't get on the bus or you can't go back to university?"
"We have taken a hell of a hit, we are still operating under restrictions that severely limit us, we are one of the few industries where the restrictions are punitive.
"Here you are saying take another hit because we want to encourage young people to get vaccinated, without coming to us with any data, any research and without even speaking to us we have to take another hit."

Omicron Hospitality Payment Scheme Extended
The Omicron Hospitality Payment scheme will be extended to include hotels and certain sports clubs, Finance Minister, Conor Murphy has announced. Under the scheme, following Executive agreement, hotels will be eligible for a one-off grant between £10,000 and £20,000 depending on their rateable value.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.
