Appeal Issued For Missing Man Patrick Gallagher

The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Patrick 'Paddy' Gallagher.

Mr Gallagher, who is well known in NI's boxing community, was last seen at approximately 9pm last night, Thursday 05 August, in the area of Mullaghglass Road in Lisburn. Police have said that he may in the West Belfast area.

Mr Gallagher is described as 5ft 7in tall, with a muscular and stocky build. When last seen he is said to have been wearing a grey zip-up Nike top and black jogging bottoms.

Anyone who has seen Mr Gallagher or has any information of his whereabouts is asked to contact Lisburn police on 101.

Man Extradited From US Over Historical Child Sex Abuse
A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of indecent assaults on a child in the 1970s. Damien Desmond Anderson, originally from L'Derry, was extradited from the US to face justice. He was convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault against a female who was 11 years old at the time of the abuse.
