Executive To Debate Change To NI Organ Donation Rules
The NI Executive is set to debate changing Northern Ireland's organ donations rules to an opt out system, which would mean people would automatically become donors unless they specifically opt out.
Currently, NI is the only part of the UK still using an opt in system, and the DUP have previously blocked any attempt to change the system.
Proposed by Health Minister Robin, the new legislation has been approved to proceed to the assembly and is to be debated today.
According to reports, campaigners for the change are concerned that the new legislation could be stalled further by the DUP's recent threats to collapse Stormont.
