Appeal For Information On Sexual Assault In Coleraine

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Coleraine.

A woman was reportedly assaulted in the Railway Road/Mill Street area of Coleraine at around 11.30pm on Saturday 25 September.

Anyone who was in the area around the time of the reported incident, in particular anyone who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to contact police.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

76-Year-Old Coleraine Man Jailed For Sexual Assault Of A Child
A 76-year-old Coleraine man has been sentenced to nine years at Laganside Crown Court for three counts of sexual assault of a child. The man, who cannot be named in order to protect the victim's identity, will serve four years in prison and five years on licence.

Afghanistan Veteran On Rape Charge
A bomb-blasted former soldier has appeared in court in Belfast charged with rape and false imprisonment. Gerald Verner, 23, of Forthriver Park, who was deafened by a bomb in Afghanistan, is also accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm, sexual assault and threats to kill against the same woman.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Coleraine
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an assault in Coleraine on Saturday morning, 12th August. Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: "Police received a report shortly after 10.50am that a man had been assaulted by a number of other men in the Heights area of the town.
