Additional £1.6bn A Year Announced By Rishi Sunak
Northern Ireland is set to receive an additional £1.6 billion a year with the announced of the new Budget and Spending Review by Chancellor Rishi Sunak.
Announcing his Budget, Mr Sunak said that this is "the largest block grants for the devolved administrations since the devolution settlements of 1998".
According to reports, this represents an average increase of 2.1% in day-to-day spending, each year up to 2025.
The Executive and the Department for Finance have said that they are "assessing" the Chancellor's announcement.

Co Down golfer Rory McIlroy has extended his clothing contract with Nike. McIlroy signed a deal in 2013 and he has entered a contract for a further ten years. The firm announced last year that it would no longer produces clubs and balls and is to focus on golf clothing and footwear.

Airline Profits Fail To Ground Fare Increases
The Irish 'budget airline' Ryanair has reported a jump in first quarter profits and passenger numbers. However, it still aims to push up fares, which the firm said would rise by an average of up to 12% in the year to the end of March 2012 as fuel prices rise.

Belfast Road Closure Announced Following Build Up Of Grease And Oil
NI Water is to start road works on Waring Street in Belfast City Centre to allow the cleaning of the sewerage system due to a build of up silt, inappropriate items and fat, oil and grease. The company will begin the work on Monday 13 September for a period of 3 nights from 9pm-6am.
