Firmus Energy Announces Price Rise In Greater Belfast

Natural gas supplier Firmus Energy has announced a 19.5% tariff increase in Greater Belfast.

The firm said the price rise will see the average household bill increase by an extra £2/75 per week and blamed the "global market" for the rise.

This is the latest increase announced by the company, following a rise in the Ten Towns network last month. Those customers are not affected by the latest announcement.

The Greater Belfast Network area covers Belfast, Lisburn, Bangor, Holywood, Donaghadee, Larne, Groomsport, Millisle, Newtownards, Carryduff, Comber, Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and East Down.
