Family escape injury in shooting

A family have escaped injury following a shooting in Co Down early this morning.

A man and his three children were in their Calvert Way home in Ballynahinch when two shots were fired through the living room window at around 2.30am.

The 34-year-old man immediately ran upstairs were he barricaded himself and his children in a bedroom.

No one was hurt in the incident however all three children were treated for shock.

Damage was caused to a living room wall and hall door.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Two shots were fired at the living room window of the house, according to the PSNI. A man, aged in his 40s, was in the house at the time, however he was not injured.

Man charged over toddler shooting
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting incident in which a toddler was injured in the early hours of yesterday morning. The 34-year-old man from the Portadown area has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, aggravated burglary and having a gun in suspicious circumstance.

Detectives are appealing for information after shots were fired at a property in Coalisland, County Tyrone. Bullets struck the front door of a property in Loughview Gardens shortly after midnight on Sunday 10 March, smashing windows and damaging a TV in the living room.

Woman And Son Escape Injury After Shooting Attack In Co Armagh
A woman and her son have escaped injury following a shooting attack in Co Armagh. Shots were fired at a property in the Cloghoge Road area of Cullyhanna on Wednesday, 21 February. Windows were broken in the living room, kitchen and sitting room areas. The woman and child were inside the property at the time of the attack.
