Passengers 'Encouraged' To Continue Wearing Face Masks
People will continue to be encouraged to wear face masks on public transport and in bus and train stations.
Translink NI has updated its policy on face mask after all remaining legal Covid restrictions were removed and replaced with guidance.
While it is no longer legally required to wear a face covering, the Department of Health highlighted the importance of mask in health and social care settings, on public transport and in enclosed indoor settings.
Clarifying their position, Translink NI said that they would "continue to follow public health guidance regarding the wearing of face coverings".
The public transport company said: "To help keep everyone safe and in line with the latest guidance, we are encouraging our passengers to wear a face covering, if they can, in stations and on-board buses and trains.
"This is in keeping with other indoor settings."
