Recruitment firm endorses new EAA regulations
Following years of lobbying by the employment agencies governing body, the
REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation), Smart Group Recruitment
Solutions has welcomed the new and improved EAA (Employment Agencies Act) legislation.
Its first update since 1976, which came into force from 6 April 2004, the EAA governs the conduct of the recruitment industry and establishes a framework of minimum standards that clients, both work-seekers and hirers, are entitled to expect.
Helen Stacey, Director of Smart Group Recruitment Solutions said: "We welcome the new regulations being made within the EAA legislation as this sees the industry working together to uphold common standards for the good of the entire sector.
"The purpose of the legislation is twofold. It sets minimum operational standards for the industry and in doing so creates a higher 'entry level' cost for agencies, therefore eliminating some of the 'cowboy' outfits.
"Professional recruiters, such as Smart Group, will greet this legislation with open arms as it can only serve to make clients and work-seekers alike more aware of the benefits of dealing with recruitment professionals."
Smart Group operates out of three offices across Bournemouth, Dorchester and Poole, and has years of experience helping people find work that suits their skills.
