Children escape injury in shooting
Four people and two children have escaped injury after gun shots were fired at a house in east Belfast early this morning.
Four shots were fired through the living room window of the house in Glenlea Park at around 1am.
It is not known the reason for the attack.
Commenting on the incident, East Belfast UUP MLA Michael Copeland said: "People must not be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
"While I don't know the specific circumstances surrounding this incident, I do know that such incidents damage the local, national and international reputation of East Belfast."

Shots fired at house in east Belfast
A number of shots have been fired at a house in Victoria Road in the Sydenham area of east Belfast. The gun attack took place at around 8.45pm on Monday evening and it is understood that there was no-one in the property at the time.

Shots fired at east Belfast interface
Police have reported that shots were fired from the nationalist Short Strand into Cluan Place during disturbances in east Belfast last night. After about two hours of sporadic street violence, a gunman fired six shots through a gap in the 'peace-line' wall in the Clandeboye area of the Short Strand.

Three children have escaped injury after shots were fired through a window at a house in Belfast. The attack happened at a property on Norglen Parade at around 1.30am on Monday, 03 July. Two adults were also in the house when shots were fired through the living room window. No one was injured.
