Security Alert Ongoing In Finaghy
Police and Army personnel are attending a security alert in Finaghy, south Belfast, with a number of homes evacuated.
It is understood that a suspicious object was discovered near the train station at Finaghy Road North. A robot bomb disposal unit has been deployed.
Motorists and pedestrians have been asked to avoid the area.
NI Railways said the line between Great Victoria Street in Belfast and Lisburn was closed due to the alert.

'Small Bomb' Found During Security Alert
Army bomb experts have been called to examine an explosive device found at an apartment block in east Belfast. Police said that a number of residents were evacuated from the apartments in the Short Strand Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. They described the device as a "small bomb". No further details have been released.

A security alert in west Belfast has ended. Police have described the device, which was discovered in the Grosvenor Road area of the city as “viable.” A number of items have since been taken from the scene for forensic examination.

Security Alert Launched In Co Tyrone
The PSNI have launched a security alert in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. A suspicious object was discovered in the Fairmount Park area on Wednesday, 17 January. The road has been closed and a number of residents have been evacuated from their homes. No further information has been released.

A security alert in north Belfast has ended after "nothing untoward" was found. A suspicious object was discovered in the Pacific Avenue area on Thursday, 13 April. Police and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene. The road has been reopened and residents have returned to their homes.

A security alert in north Belfast has now ended. An object was found in the Velsheda Way and Alliance Avenue area in Ardoyne on Thursday, 01 September. It is believed a device was thrown at a police vehicle. Army bomb disposal experts attended the scene and declared it a hoax. The road has been reopened and residents have returned to their homes.
