Pubs To Operate Normal Opening Hours This Easter
The beginning of normal pub opening hours at Easter has brought NI's laws into the 21st century, Sinn Féin's Deirdre Hargey has said.
The Communities Minister said: "For the first time, pubs will be able to open and close on normal hours over the Easter weekend thanks to the historic change in the law that we delivered last year.
"This has modernised our pub opening hours and drinking laws and brought them into the 21st century while also driving millions of pounds into our economy.
"Our bars, restaurants, local economy and workers will also benefit from these new hours on what is one of the busiest times of the year. I wish them well this weekend."

Shops, pubs, restaurants cafes and gyms have started to reopen today in Northern Ireland after a four-month lockdown. Hospitality business are only able to operate outdoors and limited numbers per table. Curfews on takeaways and off-licences have also been removed.

Ardboe man charged with Cookstown murder
A 23-year-old man has appeared in court today charged with the murder of a man in Co Tyrone at the weekend. Unemployed coach builder, Ryan Quinn, from Ardboe, appeared before Enniskillen Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with the murder of 21-year-old Cookstown man, Finbar Francis McVey.

Lower Parking Charge Scheme To Be Piloted
A lower parking rates scheme that was first introduced last Christmas in 25 towns across NI is to be reintroduced as part of a six-month pilot. A total of 93 car parks in 25 towns will charge £1 for five hours parking for six months from 12 April, with the scheme subject to ongoing assessment.

Consultation Launched For Zero-Hours Contracts
A public consultation on zero-hours contracts in Northern Ireland has been launched by Employment and Learning Minister Stephen Farry. The 14-week consultation will be taken forward in parallel with Northern Ireland specific research to gain a better understand of the numbers of zero hours contracts, including where and how they are being used.
