Man Charged With Kidnap And Threats To Kill
A 36-year-old man has been charged with threats to kill, kidnap, common assault and aggravated burglary in connection with an incident in Newcastle, County Antrim.
According to reports, a man, aged in his 40s, was allegedly kidnapped, doused in fuel and told he would be set on fire in an incident in the King Street area of Newcastle on Sunday 24 April.
The man charged in connection with the incident will appear before Newry Magistrates Court on 23 May.
Another man, aged 31, arrested in connection with the incident has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.
