Appeal Issued Over L'Derry Attack

Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in the early hours of Monday 2nd May.

At approximately 1am, a man, aged in his 20s was outside a bar in the Waterloo Street area of the city when he was struck by another man causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.

The victim was taken to hospital a short time later, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, have mobile phone footage or who may have any information that could assist with enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 256 of 02/05/22.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police appeal for information on missing man
Police and the family of 30-year-old Hugh McKay are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety. Mr McKay was last seen after he left his home in the Dundarve estate in Bushmills at around 11.30pm yesterday evening. Two rescue teams are currently searching the area, while a coastguard helicopter carried out an overnight aerial search.

Police appeal for information on missing man
Police in Larne are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of 38-year-old Ian Black. Mr Black has not been seen since he left work on the Shore Road area of Newtownabbey at around 7pm on Tuesday evening. The following day, his blue coloured Ford Focus type car was found abandoned close to a forest in the Shaneshill Road in Larne.

Police have appealed for information following the disappearance of a 60-year-old man. James White was last seen close to his home in the Kings Square area of Dundonald at around 8.30am on Thursday March 16. He is described as being around 5' 10" in height, of medium build, with short brown hair and a grey moustache.

Police appeal for information on missing Antrim man
Police in Antrim have appealed for information following the disappearance of a 36-year-old man. Jason Worthington was last seen at around 2.30pm on the Steeple Road, in Antrim on Friday January 20, 2006. Mr Worthington is described as being around 5' 10" in height and of heavy build.
