Polls Open Across NI

Polling stations across NI are open as voting gets underway to elect 90 new members of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Polls opened at 7am this morning, 05 May, and will remain open until 10pm tonight at some 600 locations across NI.

Approximately 239 candidates are competing for 90 seats across 18 constituencies. A record 87 women are standing in this year's election.

Polls Open Across NI For Local Council Elections
Polls have opened across Northern Ireland to decide who will sit on local councils across the region. Voting began at 7am this morning, Thursday 18 May, and will close at 10pm tonight. Approximately 807 candidates are contesting 462 seats across NI – a full list of which can be found on the Electoral Office website.

Polls Open Across NI For General Election
Voters across Northern Ireland will head to the polls today to have their say on who represents them at Westminster. Some 102 candidates are standing for 18 seats in the General Election, the third poll of this year. Polling stations opened at 7am this morning, 12 December, and will close at 10pm.

The Department of Health is urging people to take steps to care for their health and well-being, especially during the winter months. Health Minister Mike Nesbitt emphasised the importance of self-care, particularly for older adults and individuals with long-term health conditions.
