Man Arrested In Connection With Serious Assault
A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Belfast on Friday 27 May.
Shortly after 9:45pm, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a property in Abingdon Drive area of Belfast. A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury following the incident, and remains in a critical condition at this time.
A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Dougherty said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and police would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1997 27/05/22. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

At around 8:55pm on Wednesday 15 February, it was reported that a man armed with a knife forced his way into a house in the Aghanore Walk area. It was reported that a 46-year-old man who was inside the property received stab wounds during the incident.
