Appeal For Information In North Belfast Petrol Bomb Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Ardoyne, north Belfast.
According to police, a petrol bomb was thrown at the house on Estoril Park just before midnight last night, causing scorch damage to the property.
There are no reports of any injuries during the incident but It is understood that one man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact police.
Condemning the incident, North Belfast Sinn Féin MLA, Gerry Kelly, said: "The petrol bomb attack on a home in Estoril Park in Ardoyne last night could have caused serious injury or death and I condemn it.
"This was a reckless attack and in the aftermath a man in the house suffered a heart attack and was taken to hospital.
"There is absolutely no place in society for these actions, those responsible have shown a total disregard for the local community.
"I am appealing for anyone with information on this attack to bring it forward to the police."

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack at a property in the Loughanhill Park area of Coleraine. Shortly after 1.20am on Monday 22nd August, emergency services were called to reports of a fire after a suspected petrol bomb had been thrown at the front of a property.

House targeted in suspected petrol bomb attack
Police in Co Down are appealing for information following a suspected petrol bomb attack at a house in Saintfield. The incident occurred at a property on the Listooder Road at around 12.45am on Monday. Scorch damage was caused to the front door of the house and a door mat was also destroyed by the fire.

TWO elderly Protestant sisters have escaped injury after a petrol bomb attack on their East Belfast home. The women, aged 73 and 79, escaped injury after a passing police patrol discovered a fire at their home and forced their way into the house in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
