New Certification Officer Appointed For NI
Economy Minister Gordon Lyons has announced the appointment of Tom Evans as the new Certification Officer for Northern Ireland.
Mr Evans will hold the role of Certification Officer for Northern Ireland until 14 June 2027.
Minister Lyons said: "I am delighted that Tom Evans has accepted the role as the Certification Officer for Northern Ireland.
"I am confident he will bring significant experience to the role, coupled with his deep understanding of Employment Relations issues, and a keen awareness of the importance of good practice."
This appointment is made in accordance with the Code of Practice issued by the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has today, Wednesday 23rd April, launched a new pilot scheme called 'Virtual Officer Attendance', offering victims of crime the option of a video call with an officer as an alternative to telephone resolution or in-person attendance. The four-week pilot programme is now underway.

NIFRS Celebrates Over 430 Employees
Northern Ireland Fire Rescue Service (NIFRS) has celebrated and acknowledged 431 committed employees who have achieved milestones of 20, 30 or 40 years of service. Four Long Service & Good Conduct Awards Ceremonies took place in May and June at Craigavon Civic Centre, Coleraine Town Hall, Lagan Valley Island in Lisburn and Omagh Fire Station.
