Defibrillator Stolen From Hospital In North Belfast
Police have issued an appeal for information after a defibrillator was stolen from a hospital in north Belfast.
It is believed to have been taken from the Mater Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The suspect, who is understood to have committed the crime, is described as around 6ft tall and of stocky build, with dark hair and a full beard.
PSNI Sergeant Andrew Matson said: "He was reported to be wearing a dark grey jumper with white writing and blue jeans.
“This defibrillator is a vital, life-saving piece of equipment that could mean the difference between life or death for someone."
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

It's understood the potentially lifesaving device was removed from the outside of a shop on the Glen Road in the early hours of Sunday morning, 26 January. Detectives are appealing for information.

Police Appeal Following Paramilitary Attack In North Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a man was shot twice in each foot in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Jamaica Road area on Wednesday, 09 June, at around 11pm. Three men dragged the victim, aged 36, into an alleyway and carried out a paramilitary-style shooting.

Hospitals in Northern Ireland are struggling to deal with the effects of a common virus which has left people waiting on trollies for beds and caused a severe backlog in surgery. The virus, which affects patients and staff, comes as hospitals throughout the province struggle to cope with an increased number of patients because of winter illnesses.

Defibrillator Stolen From Parked Ambulance
A privately-operated ambulance has been broken into and a defibrillator stolen when it was parked at Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry. It is believed that the drivers side window was smashed on Monday. The damage and theft, which included a sat nav and two mobile phones, was not noticed until Tuesday.
