Blaze at Portrush depot destroys three buses

Police are appealing for information after three buses were destroyed in a suspicious fire at an Ulsterbus depot in Co Antrim early this morning.

Initial estimates put the damage caused by the blaze in the region of £200,000.

Spotted at around 3.30am at the yard in Eglantine Street, Portrush, the fire which started in one of a row of six buses, spread to two other vehicles before it was brought under control.

Though the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained, police have not ruled out arson and are treating the blaze as "suspicious".
