Belfast dances to different beat

Following on from last week's highly successful BBC Music Live event outside the City Hall, Belfast is preparing to groove to a different beat later this month, with the annual 'Week of Dance' festival.

The festival will see more than 60 dance events taking place across the city ranging from salsa and cheerleading, to tea dances and disco extravaganzas.

The event, which runs from Saturday May 15 to Saturday May 22, has been organised by Belfast City Council on behalf of the Belfast Active Living Group in aid of Concern Worldwide and Action Cancer.

Dozens of other events are being staged at leisure and community centres, as well as a variety of other venues across Belfast.

Further information on venues, dates and costs can be obtained by calling 028 9027 0345, or by email at leisure@belfastcity.gov.uk.
