Attacks On Translink Staff Condemned
Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd has condemned an attack on a Translink staff member and the public disorder on a train at Castlerock Train station on the evening of Saturday 13 August.
Minister O'Dowd said: "This is another appalling attack on staff on an essential public transport service. Staff at Translink have the right to work without fear of being attacked or abused. I strongly condemn this latest despicable incident. Translink operate around 12,500 services a day and thankfully incidents like this do not happen very often.
"My thoughts and best wishes are with the staff member who was assaulted. Anyone with information about the attack on the staff member or the public disorder which occurred should contact the PSNI or Translink, who are offering an award for information which leads to a conviction."

Police appeal over bus attacks
Police in north Belfast are becoming increasingly concerned due to the growing number of attacks on Translink buses in the Skegoneill/Shore Road area. Over the past two weeks, seven buses have been attacked by stone throwers, and police are appealing to the perpetrators to consider the consequences before carrying out such actions.

Man Attacks Staff Member During Armed Robbery In South Belfast
Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in south Belfast. The incident happened at a fast food restaurant in the Botanic Avenue area in the early hours of Tuesday morning. A man hit a female member of staff with a hammer before making off with a sum of money and another staff member's mobile phone.
