Woman Arrested After Pedestrian Dies In Ballymena
Woman has been arrested after a pedestrian died when he was struck by a car in Ballymena, Co Antrim on Sunday.
The man, named locally as John Corr, was hit by a vehicle while walking on the the Cushendall Road at around 10.20pm.
A 22-year-old woman has been detained on suspicion of a number of offences, according to the PSNI.
Detective Inspector Jack said: "We have also recovered a grey BMW car we believe was involved for further examination.
"We would like to thank the public for their assistance to date in terms of eyewitness reports and we are particularly keen to hear from any other witnesses and to view any more footage taken in the area around that time."

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

Investigation Launched Following Fatal Crash In Co Antrim
Police have launched an investigation following a fatal crash in Co Antrim. The collision, between a bus and a car, happened in Randalstown at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 11 February. A 58-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
