DAERA Announces Arrangements For 19 September

The Department of Agriculure, the Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has announced all its Direct Officers will be closed on Monday 19 September, the day of the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

DAERA has announced its arrangements for the day as follows:

• DAERA Direct Offices will be closed to mark the occasion of the State Funeral.

• The offices will re-open to the public as normal from Tuesday 20 September from 9am.

• Any appointments will be rearranged by staff or alternatively customers can contact the offices on 0300 200 7840 during normal business hours.

• Anyone who wishes to take time to pause and reflect on the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is very welcome to do so at our forest and country parks or Public Angling Estate sites which will remain open.

Man Charged After Glenarm Shooting
Detectives investigating the incident on Feystown Road on Monday, 25 November, have charged a 41-year-old man with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage. The accused is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 28 November.
