DUP Backs Campaign For Elizabeth The Faithful Title

The DUP have backed a campaign to bestow the late Queen with the name Elizabeth The Faithful.

According to reports, Queen Elizabeth had been referred to as Elizabeth the Great since her passing, but after Security Minister Tom Tugendhat called her Elizabeth The Faithful, a campaign has grown to support this becoming her official, posthumous title.

DUP Leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson said: "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was faithful unto death.

"She was faithful to her God. She was faithful to her people. And she was faithful to her family. That faithfulness should be immortalised in Her name.

"There has never been a monarch so loved by her people nor one so dedicated to her people. The United Kingdom will be the poorer in absence of her leadership, her wisdom and her prayers. We would fully support Her Late Majesty being known from henceforth as Elizabeth The Faithful."
