Water Service begins £650,000 infrastructure scheme
The Water Service has commenced work on a £650,000 "distribution and rationalisation" water scheme in Lougheramore, Co Londonderry.
The work, which will involve the laying of new water mains, is scheduled to last for approximately a year.
A Water Service spokesperson said: "This essential work is being undertaken as part of continuing improvement to the water supply in the area.
"Although it will not be necessary to close any roads, some disruption due to the works will unfortunately be unavoidable and Water Service and the contractor have carefully programmed the works to minimise inconvenience."
Work will take place on the Craigback Road, Brockagh Road, Monnaboy Road, Myrtle Road, Barnailt Road and Muldonagh Road.
