Firmus 56.3% Gas Price Increase Comes Into Effect
The Firmus Energy gas price increase kicks in today, 03 October.
On 06 September the energy firm announced a 56.3% rise in gas prices in the Greater Belfast and Ten Towns network areas.
The change in tariffs will mean an extra £15.50 per week on to the average household bill for the Ten Towns Network area and £16.22 per week for the Greater Belfast Network area.
Niall Martindale, Chief Executive of firmus energy, said: “We know this is a very difficult time for many households and businesses and we urge any of our customers who need further support to call our dedicated local team to discuss ways in which we can help."

Firmus Energy Slash Gas Prices
Gas supplier Firms Energy will slash its prices by almost 9% from October. The company will drop the natural gas tariffs for its 95,000 customers across the province by 8.77%. The move reflects a fall in wholesale gas prices in Europe and will bring the typical household bill for those in the Greater Belfast area down by £54.
