Education Minister Opens New Irish Medium Primary School
Education Minister Michelle McIlveen has welcomed pupils and staff at the official opening of the Gaelscoil na gCrann, Irish Medium Primary School in Omagh.
The new £3.85million school includes a seven class primary school and single nursery unit.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister McIlveen said: "A new building marks a new chapter in the history of a school and brings tangible improvements to daily life, not just for pupils and staff but also for families and the wider community."
The newly built school and nursery unit was handed over on 16 July 2020.
Marking the achievements of all involved in the project, the Minister continued: "I want to acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved in the delivery of the new build, including the school staff, Governors, consultants, contractors and officials and offer my best wishes for the future."

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Two Major New School Construction Projects Underway
Two major school construction projects have gotten underway in L'Derry, Education Minister Michelle McIlveen has announced. The first sod has been cut on both the new £34 million Ardnashee School and College and the $4.7 million Our Lady of Fatima Primary School.
