Drugs And Cash Seized In L'Derry Raid
A quantity of suspected cannabis and approximately £5,000 in cash has been seized by the PSNI's District Support Team during the search of property in Waterside area of L'Derry.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences, including possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. He has since been released on police bail to return for further questioning at a later date. A woman, aged 27, who was also arrested, was released on police bail to allow for further police enquiries.
Inspector Hamilton said: "Drugs have no place in our community and, through Operation Dealbreaker, we'll continue to tackle the supply, use and harm caused by illegal drugs.
"We're grateful for the support from the local community, and I want to take this opportunity to encourage anyone with information, or concerns, about drugs in your area, call us on 101. The quicker we receive information the quicker we can act. Even if you think it's not significant, it could make a difference."
