TUI Announces New Balearic Island Offering For Next Summer
Leading Northern Ireland Tour Operator TUI, has announced it will offer the Balearic Island of Majorca as a holiday destination direct from George Best Belfast City Airport next Summer.
With a weekly flight every Saturday from the 10th of June '23 until the 26th of August '23, Northern Ireland holidaymakers will have the opportunity to discover the largest of the Balearic Islands from their local airport.
Majorca is the island that has it all, picturesque harbours, white sand beaches, and great nightlife, perfect for families, couples and young travellers.
Speaking at the announcement, Craig Morgan, Head of Ireland for TUI, said: "We are delighted to operate once again from George Best Belfast City Airport and believe Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands will prove a very popular choice for local Northern Ireland holidaymakers. The island is a firm favourite due to its short flight time, wide range of resorts offering quality hotels & apartments and attractions to suit everyone".
Welcoming the news, Katy Best, Commercial Director at Belfast City Airport, said: "We are thrilled to welcome back TUI to Belfast City Airport with the announcement of a new charter service to Majorca.
"Belfast City Airport's prime location, only five minutes from the city centre, coupled with its average security processing time of just six minutes, means that those travelling to Majorca will have a hassle-free and easy start to their trip.
"Providing Northern Irish passengers with more choice and convenience throughout summer 2023, this route will appeal to families, couples and friends wishing to take a break in the sun, and with the excellent variety of accommodation available we are confident that there will be a package to meet everyone's requirements and budget."

bmi to concentrate services at Belfast City
bmi has announced that it is to discontinue its Heathrow service from Belfast International Airport (BIA) and concentrate resources in Belfast City Airport. However, bmi will maintain a presence at BAI as bmibaby will be including Belfast International as a destination to be served from a new UK base to be announced shortly.
