St John Ambulance (NI) Launches Mental Health First Aid Courses
In addition to physical first aid courses St John Ambulance (NI) now delivers mental health first aid courses that are nationally recognised qualifications accredited by FutureQuals.
The following courses have been registered by CITB NI for grant assistance to registered in scope employers.
Mental Health: Workplace Responder - 1 day course
Mental Health: Workplace First Aider - 2 day course
A practical approach is taken to the training based on real life scenarios. Attendees build knowledge, understanding and skills required to respond effectively to situations they might face at work. For more information on any courses please call 02890 799393 or email training@sjani.org

SF Calls For Action On NI Mental Health Services
Sinn Féin has called for more to be done to improve mental health services across the north of Ireland. The party's mental health spokesperson, MLA Órlaithí Flynn, made the call after the release of the Registrar General's 2023 Annual Report which has highlighted an increase in deaths by suicide in 2023.
