Two people escape injury in bomb attack
Two people have escaped injury after a bomb exploded outside their home in Co Down early this morning.
The man and woman were in their flat in the Beech End area of Holywood when the device exploded outside their front door at around 1am.
Neither party was injured in the attack, however the device caused scorch damage to the front door and porch of the property, as well as damaging roof tiles and the door to the adjoining flat.
It is not known if the attack is in any way linked to the current loyalist feud in the area.
Army bomb experts have taken the remainder of the device away for examination.
