Two More Arrests In Petrol Bombings Investigation

Two more men have been arrested by detectives investigating a series of recent incidents in the Ards and North Down area.

A 50-year-old man was arrested in Belfast under the Terrorism Act following a search at a residential property in Newtownards.

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Newtownards on suspicion of a range of offences, including arson with intent to endanger life.

Both men were taken to Musgrave station for interview.

Three men previously arrested remain in custody at this time.

Four Men Arrested In Connection With Lyra McKee Murder
Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Lyra McKee. Ms McKee was fatally shot as she observed rioting in L'Derry in April 2019. She was 29 years old. Police investigating her death have arrested four men, aged 19, 20, 21 and 33, under the Terrorism Act.

Four men arrested in connection with an explosive device in west Belfast last year have been released from custody. The device was found in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October. Three men arrested under the Terrorism Act have been released unconditionally.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Two Arrests Following Attempted Murder In Portglenone
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man suffered head injuries during an assault in County Antrim. The man in his 20s was attacked on Portglenone's Main Street shortly after midnight on Sunday 03 March.

Two Arrests Over KKK Hate Crime
Police have arrested two men as part of a probe into a hate crime involving a group of people dressed as the Ku Klux Klan. It follows public outrage as images circulated on social media showing individuals dressed as members of the far-right group in Newtownards on 27 October.
